COSSA is a cooperative for Homedale,
Marsing, Notus, Parma & Wilder School Districts.
COSSA has a long-standing (40 years) commitment with the participating
COSSA provides Professional-Technical Programs, Alternative Jr/Sr High School, Special Education and Gifted/Talented
Services to the five participating districts utilizing shared resources.
Using shared resources has been shown to be
significantly cost effective and beneficial to the districts in reducing the overall cost of providing high quality programs
that would not be available to small districts independently.
COSSA annually serves over 1,100 students:
- Professional-Technical 600 - Special Education.
120 - Alternative Education 115 - Gifted/Talented.
over 100 certified and classified employees. Many of the employees are local residents of our five school districts.
of PTE Program graduates are employed or attending post-high school educational programs.
PTE Students earn transferable
college credits (academic and professional technical) through BSU, ISU, CSI, LCSC and the U of I, while participating in COSSA
COSSA provides opportunities for adult students to participate in PTE programs and earn college credits and
industry certification through agreement with local colleges.
COSSA facilities are supported through funds generated
through the member school districts. COSSA does not have the ability through Idaho Code to independently generate funding
